URGENT: Email the House of Lords today
The assisted dying Bill is now in Committee Stage in the House of Lords where the wording of the Bill is examined line by line and proposed amendments are debated.
But a handful of Peers are trying to take advantage of the process to attempt to block the Bill altogether. After MPs voted decisively - twice - to support assisted dying, it’s essential that the Lords respect the will of the Commons - and the public.
Peers must feel the weight of the public's expectation that they scrutinise the Bill and then return it to the elected House of Commons.
Email a Member of the House of Lords now and urge them not to allow this Bill to be blocked by delay or manoeuvring.
Thank you so much for emailing a member of the House of Lords.
With the Bill now in Committee Stage - and attempts underway to slow or obstruct progress - it’s vital that more members of the Lords hear from the public.
More emails mean more chances to convince the House of Lords to back a compassionate law.
